Privacy policy
ARC is a football physics puzzle game published by Andreas Kviby, a private individual in Sweden. We collect the minimum needed to run the game, show no ads, use no third-party tracking, and never sell data. This page explains exactly what is stored and how you control it.
What we collect
- A random device identifier generated by the app on first launch, used to create your guest account and to recognise your install.
- Your display name (generated as "Striker-NNNN" until you change it) and, optionally, your country code.
- Gameplay results and replays: which levels you played, your shot sequences, action counts and completion times. Replays are tiny deterministic input logs, not video.
- Technical analytics events such as app opened, level started, shot taken, goal scored, level completed or failed, purchases started or completed, together with your platform and app version.
- If you sign in with Apple or Google: the stable, opaque subject identifier the provider gives us. We do not store your name or e-mail address from the provider.
- If you contact support: the e-mail you write from and the content of your message.
What we do not collect
- No advertising identifiers, no ad networks and no cross-app tracking.
- No precise location. Country is optional and set by you.
- No contacts, photos, microphone or camera access.
- No payment card details; purchases are handled entirely by Apple or Google.
How we use it
Data is used to save your progress across devices, to verify competitive results on our servers so leaderboards stay fair, to balance level difficulty from aggregate statistics, and to fix crashes and bugs. Analytics are evaluated in aggregate; we do not build advertising profiles.
Guest accounts and sign-in
You can play without creating an account. Signing in with Apple or Google links that identity to the same account so your progress survives a new phone. You can keep playing as a guest for as long as you like.
Storage and retention
Data is stored on servers operated for us in the European Union. It is kept for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, personal data is removed immediately; replays and analytics events are anonymised and kept only as aggregate gameplay statistics that can no longer be linked to you.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can, at any time and free of charge:
- Export everything we hold about you: Settings → Account → Export my data (a JSON file is produced by the game).
- Delete your account and all personal data: Settings → Account → Delete account. The deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
- Correct your display name or country directly in the game.
- Write to andreaskviby@gmail.com for access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability or to object to processing, and complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) if you are unhappy with our answer.
Children
ARC has no chat, no user-to-user messaging and no ads. We do not knowingly collect personal data beyond what is listed above from anyone, and parents can delete a child's account from inside the game or by e-mailing support.
Controller and contact
The data controller is a private individual: Andreas Kviby, Skonstavägen 3, 611 73 Vrena, Sweden. We answer privacy requests within 30 days.
